The varsity girls volleyball team had a great fall season with their first ever tournament birth, but now December is here and basketball season is in full swing. Both middle school teams are off to undefeated starts. The M.S. girls are 1-0 after a blowout win vs. I.C. school on December 4th. The M.S. boys stand at 2-0 with two hard fought wins against I.C. and New Covenant. Both the boys and girls middle school teams will have their first real test of the season on Friday when Whitinsville Christian visits B.C.A. for games @ 3:30 and 4:30. After a few early season scrimmages the boys and girls varsity basketball teams finally kicked off their regular seasons yesterday against New Testament. The girl’s varsity team controlled their game from the opening tip. With the help of hot shooters Megan Petty and Jenna Haskell the girls ran away with the game winning by a final score of 54- 32. The boys Varsity team didn’t have the luck that their female counterparts did. After trailing for the entire first half, the boys came out strong in the 3rd quarter and went on a 16-6 run and took a six point lead going into the 4th. The 4th quarter was a totally different story as New Testament took advantage of turnovers and foul trouble by BCA and outscored the Eagles 24-4 in the final quarter. The girl’s varsity team will look to continue their winning ways and the boy’s varsity will try to get back on track as both teams travel to Hyannis on Friday to take on Sturgis Charter.
