10/22/08 The Lady Eagles Upset Trinity Catholic for their 4th Win of the Season
The girls volleyball team went into their game on Monday against Trinity Catholic hoping for the best. Trinity was 12-2 and looked to be by far the strongest team on the schedule. The Lady Eagles were coming off an impressive win over league rival South Lancaster Academy and had been playing better in recent weeks. BUT they had modest expectations considering the fact that Trinity had just easily beaten a team that B.C.A had lost to badly earlier in the season. That is why they play the games! After winning the first set, Trinity Catholic looked as though they had become complacent and over confident. B.C.A took full advantage of this and won 3 out of the next 4 sets, shocking the ladies from Trinity Catholic. Captain Jordan Wojnowski led the team to victory with a solid all around performance. Maddy Caughey helped the cause with a string of great serves that helped get the momentum going in our favor. The Lady Eagles will look to end the season on a high note on Thursday as they honor their seniors and play Maimonides in the final game of the season.
